too bad we beat them the first time we played them
bad I might add..

You know who remembers 2nd place?
We do!

At least we had an undefeated record to be ruined..

Yup. And she's right, WE remember second place. Second place is a lot better than not even getting to the finals. Yeah thanks.

umm, who really cares about field hockey? its all about football, fools.

Toni also makes a valid point...

i don't care about football or field hockey. i make a point of ignoring any sports that begin with F except for foosball because that involves funny armless men with a pole through their chests

smart men (and women) play soccer

Smart men (and women) play chess (a REAL sport!)

Kevin said...

John... women can't play chess.

AMPaquette said...

i beg your pardon! i can play chess. i just can't play chess well.

I object to your first sentence but I agree with the second (assuming of course that you are referring to the REAL football that is acknowledged everywhere else in the world).

That's your problem Isaac.

soccer is definitely the best sport ever. it takes athletes, not just fat men.

Jake, what sport doesn't require athletes, and just fat men? Hmm?

Sumo?

Colin. said...

I must disagree. While not superb athletes, sumo wrestlers are indeed athletes, well suited for their profession.

JohnC said...

Well, by definition an athlete is someone who plays a sport, so technically there's no answer to your question, which makes it pointless.

Colin. said...

It's a rhetorical question. And not pointless, but the point was to point out the flaw in the Jake's reasoning.

I love sumo wrestling! Actually, it is a very hard sport because it is more about positioning and such than just who is stronger. Not to mention some skinny guys can still beat the fat guts that sumo wrestling is known for.

JohnC said...

Sumo isn't more about positioning and skill, it's more about being really big. Someone of normal size isn't going to be able to move a huge sumo wrestler, no matter how skilled he is.
