So

So, what if you got past enough energy levels in chem, (spdf and it continues with ghijk..etc..) that you came back to s. What would you do?. Maybe you cant because the most electrons in an element wouldnt get you back to S. I just havent done the math. But i mean if you could. What would you do?

I'd probably piss myself.

I'm not sure what they'd do. But for an element to get back to energy level s, it would have to be very, very heavy. I doubt we'll run into an element of that nature any time soon, though I'm not a physicist.

I thought she said you wouldn't get back to energy level s.

Come back to energy level s? As in an energy level named 's'? Nothing. The names are arbitrary, essentially. Could call them energy level 1, 2, 3, 4...etc. Plus, you'd get back to p first.

Nothing would happen, Colin? No. Something would happen. We'd have to choose what to name it. If I were the one to do it, I'd simply skip s and p.

My apologies; as opposed to say that nothing would happen, I'm better to say nothing special would happen.
