Kill the Moose

Moose are also to blame for global warming. Oh i also learned in yellowstone, that moose can swim underwater for over a minute without needing to breath and they can go deeper than 18 feet! can you imagine kayaking and all of a sudden a moose floats up next to you? rifreakindiculous

While I don't mean to be abrasive, does this not somewhat hurt the liberals' beliefs that we are the reason of global warming? I do not mean to shift the blame solely to animals, or to say that we, perhaps, did not further or hasten the global change, but climate change has occurred through history--this is written in the history of the earth, in the ice sheets and fossils. Yet, this time around, humans, more aware of the conditions, desire a static environment, and, instead of adapting to survive--certainly we aren't out of our comfort zone yet--we seek to alter, as best we can, the environment, not only to ease our conscious but to make it more convenient for us. Companies are urged to drive down carbon dioxide emissions, while the ice sheets tell a story where the change in levels of carbon dioxide reflect the change in temperature, not the opposite, seeking to remind those ardent believers of our own destructive nature that correlation does not mean causation. Millions of dollars are spent trying to raise awareness, save the environment, and lessen harm so that the environment will be here for our children. Indeed, is the money not better spent for a more understood and straightforwardly fought problem, such as the raging of Malaria in Africa, which can be fought against rapidly, bringing back the use of the bane of Carson's existence, while only lessening the doses to the appropriate amount. Now, I'm not saying that I don't believe in global warming--the globe is certainly warming--but I do believe that too many people have jumped to conclusions and are rushing for a solution before the 'problem' has even been fully diagnosed, while neglecting the treatable issues of this day's modern world.

Evidence suggests that this time the globe warms, that it will be worse than before. Now if there was no hole in the OZone layer, the earth would be able to take care of itself but that is another contributing factor keeping the earth from being able to keep the cycle. Now, while it hasn't "happened" yet, as people I believe that we are to try to prevent problems before they start. Global warming is like a cancer. Once its here, theres not much we can do about it. Like cervical cancer. There is now a vaccine to prevent that. We wash our hands, to prevent spread of germs and possible disease. And even if there was no global warming, I say solve our problems before we solve others. How can we be an efficient force if we have to many problems ourselves? Start internally, then work externally.
