LIFE
I, for one, think that life is completly meaningless, unless it is lived for the self. One must do everything for one purpose: their own ego. Ego not as in cockyness or what have you, ego as in the self. Only when life is lived for the self and for no other person can one achieve happiness. And I believe that the meaning of life is to accomplish as much as one can, and if your life has been lived for anyone other than the self, it has been wasted. Altruism is the main form of self-destruction.

You have to read some Ayn Rand to understand this completly. She rocks. I recommend "the Fountainhead". It is only one of the best books in the history of the world.
well, i want to commend you on finding a successful new topic.
However, i do not believe that one MUST do everything for ones self, but rather that one inadvertently does everything to help themselves.
I agree that being too altruist can lead to self destruction, i do not believe that one can achieve happiness by only doing things for ones self or that any altruist action will only lead in dissatisification of the self. From what i read from your post, it almost sounds like that you are saying that the meaning of life is to reach a state of happiness.
-"I, for one, think that life is completly meaningless, unless it is lived for the self...Only when life is lived for the self and for no other person can one achieve happiness."-
Now, however, i must go, especially since i said that debating over the true meaning of life was ultimately pointless.
