riddles!

1) FOUR IS HALF OF FIVE. TRUE OR FALSE??

2) THERE ARE ONLY 3 WORDS THAT END IN -GRY. HUNGRY AND ANGRY ARE TWO OF THEM. WHAT IS THE THIRD WORD IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE? IF YOU HAVE LISTENED CARFULLY, YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD.

3) I turn polar bears white,
and I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee,
and girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid,
and normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown,
and make your champagne bubble.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle?

The first two I've got the answers to. Then third one I've only got hypotheses for and apparently 97% of Harvard students can't get the last one, but 84% of kindergarten students could get it in 6 minutes or less. NO CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first one is surely false, half of 5 is 2.5, not 4.

The seccond one is either some actual -gry word which I don't know, or more likely since it's a riddle not a test of vocabulary it's "language" or "aardvark" or something like that (I wouldn't know the third word without looking it up) since the question you asked was "What is the third word in the english language?"

I don't know what the last one is, and I don't think there is anything that will satisfy all of those conditions. But seeing as the question was "Can you guess the riddle?" yes, a duck.

I suppose "something" could also work for the last one, but I don't think anything would make me "pop" if I looked at it. I don't think it's a very good riddle, that is unless there's some brilliant solution that I'm missing. The answer still has to be "yes" though.

And where'd those statistics come from anyway? That doesn't sound very believable, although it does help in solving it since if that's the case it can't be something a kindergarten student wouldn't know.

I'm thinking the third one is God.... because the only thing kindergarteners know about is God.. whereas the harvard people are prolly non- religious.. or just overthink it.

The first one does have to be false unless you live in 1984.

The second one is easy: it is language-what is the third word in 'the English language'? the is first, english is second, and language is third.

As for the third one, I guess this just mean i belong at Harvard more that I do inKindergarten.
