they are playing the #2 seed) but no one else probably
cares about that either. How sad that we must live in the
only country in the world who does not love soccer.

I'm excited; although I probably won't follow the cup extremely closely, the games are always fun to watch.
USA should make it to the next round, I think. Shame how we're ranked fifth in the world, but are not predicted to make it out of the first round.
I can't wait until kickoff tomorrow...I'll be watching at least part of that game.

ive already got my wall chart bracket printed out
and colin, they aren't predicted out of the first round because they got frikin itally and the Czech Republic in their group. which is rediculous

yay soccer! i only care if hooligans are involved though. or marching bands. and seeing as how soccer doesn't involve marching bands, i'm not as enthused as i could be

I care about soccer. I'm rooting for Italy.
My heart dropped when I looked at the bracket in the newspaper to discover that Italy and the U.S. are in the same group for the first round. But there is nothing I can do about it; Italy's my team and I have to stick with them. Italy plays the U.S. on June 17th.
italy doesn't have anyone besides totti though....
It's a one man team? I'm sure they've got other players. And those players will pwn all the other soccer n00bz.

ok. their only good player is totti and he's just back from an injury
so the goal in the 6th minute of the germany came was just about as perfectly placed as possible

yeah, the game was a dissapointment, we just need to give more of an effort and hopefully we'll pull out two wins

There was someone there named Donovan, though I'm not entirely convinced it's the same one we thought would show up.
Donovan, Beasley, McBride, Onweyu- none of them showed up. That was a very crappy game. If they don't beat Italy, its all over.
But the Aussies played awesome if anyone saw that game.
i wouldn't blame mcbride. he didn't get the ball cuz everyone else was sucking
I saw the Aussie game. Three goals in 6 minutes? That's amazing.
I wouldn't blame McBride either necessarily- Im sure he will still start against Italy. The Brazilians didnt look all that good, which was surprising and Ronaldo just plain out sucked.
Italy tomorrow! I hope USA wins. If they play well they should, but you never know...
